What is Friends of Pond Road?

Friends of Pond Road is a charitable organisation whose objective is to raise money for additional medical equipment and to improve facilities within Shoreham Health Centre.

Other members include: Dr Mark Halloran; Mrs Hazel Gow (Staff); Mr David Pope (HVH patient), Mr H Patel (HVH patient); Mrs S Stringer (HVH patient); Mrs A Goodson (District Nurse) and Helen McDougall (HVH Health Care Assistant).


Meetings are held at Shoreham Health Centre in the Waiting Area from 1-2pm.

These meetings are open to anyone who uses Shoreham Health Centre and we welcome new members.  So if you have ideas for fundraising and would like to get involved please come along to one of our meetings.

What we have be able to fund for the benefit of users of Shoreham Health Centre so far:-

Blood Pressure machine, podiatry equipment, Radio and Performing Arts licence, water cooler, TV screen for the waiting room, £50.00 contribution towards Adur Healthy Walks booklet, Spirometer, mobile hoist weighing scales for the District Nurses, pads for the Health Centre defibrilator, new projector and stand for the Common Room, and digital cameras for the nurses to be able to monitor leg ulcers.

We have also purchased 2 baby changing units.  These are located in the disabled toilet in the main reception of the Health Centre and upstairs in the other disabled toilet.

Most recently we have agreed to fund the new style newsletter - Spring Edition 2018 which will be available for the Easter weekend.
